Nevertheless, having covered weddings at this venue, I would love to shed some light on the wonderful qualities this family owned working farm has to offer.
Location
The Huntsmill Farm wedding venue is nestled in the gorgeous Buckinghamshire countryside in a village called Shalstone. Huntsmill Farm is easily accessible and enjoys a secluded atmosphere, providing an intimate experience for you and your guests. There is nothing like waking up in a peaceful and relaxing ambience before you get to say I do to your partner. More importantly, nothing will disrupt your wedding photos at Huntsmill Farm, as the venue is exclusive and provides privacy on its grounds.
Exterior and Grounds
This newly converted barn has that special rustic vintage flair but with modern-day amenities. There is something especially alluring about places that channel historical beauty, especially when it comes to your photography! Before you enter the private courtyard and lay eyes on this charming place, you will be greeted by a manicured park that serves as a picnic spot as well, fields, gorgeous flowers and many vintage props like the iconic tractor, rural rustic gazebo, tree swing and large wooden chair! I find these so wonderful for taking images as they give so much fun to capture your wedding day with a creative twist. The scenery is truly picturesque, adorned with lush trees and countryside galore that looks incredible during the golden hour.
Dreamy Rustic Facilities and Interior
When you enter the Huntsmill Farm wedding venue, you will witness stunning facilities that entwine farm cosiness and effortless elegance. The large barn space is where the ceremony and reception happen. Impressively enough the place can be converted in a matter of an hour between events, providing another outdoor place to refresh with a cocktail hour and mingle with your guests. This rural barn wedding venue is also licenced for civil ceremonies which is always a plus and shortens the time spent travelling between places as the day unfolds.
One of the most impressive things here is that you get this lovely stone barn that you can completely tailor to your own style. This gives you the benefit of choosing their theme and incorporating your dream nuptial decor. There are a lot of small hooks in the walls that can spark your creativity for floral installations as well. The barn can accommodate up to 100 seated guests, meticulously organised and arranged. With a bar, catering services, stellar lighting and space for a band, the venue offers everything you need, an ideal wedding experience. They also encourage having a food truck, and you can both choose from their approved list or pick your own in consultation with the team.
Whimsical Cottages for Accommodating your Guests
There are 7 self-catering cottages including the couple’s suite which is perfect for your morning preparations where I as your Huntsmill Farm wedding photographer can begin capturing your story. All cottages feature an authentic interior with modern luxe elements to elevate the experience. The largest cottage can house up to 8 guests which makes it perfect for your bridesmaids, and the pre-wedding girly night in. The cottage has plenty of room to capture your bridal preparations, good window light for your make-up artist, hair stylist and of course your photographer ;-)
The exclusive property can be booked for the entire weekend where you will feel the rustic rural charm, unwind with your guests and celebrate your authentic farm wedding.
