With Kirsty & Ben

All the way from Australia Kirsty and Ben were celebrating their special day just outside Hastings in the East Sussex village of Battle at the rather grand Battle Abbey School.

It was at the start of the 2018 heatwave in the UK and this was a very hot day, note to self, take sun cream! Anyway, the wedding ceremony took place in the grand hall that featured what is possibly the largest painting I have seen at a wedding, this is a famous painting by Frank Wilkin that depicts the moment William The Conquer finds King Harold and takes the Crown of England for himself.

After the wedding ceremony we took to the grounds to photograph the guests enjoying champagne and canapes which was a great opportunity to photograph the bride & groom before they headed to the fantastic wood panelled Duke’s Library for the wedding breakfast.

Battle Abbey School offers a unique and amazing wedding venue that made Ben and Kirsty’s wedding a day to remember.
