With Nora & Leon

Congratulations to Nora & Leon on their wedding at Coventry Cathedral, the day was bright and sunny, offering great conditions for this early Saturday morning wedding in Coventry.

I photographed Nora & Leon over a 2-hour session from the registry office ceremony to bridal portraits around Coventry Cathedral; the wedding party was small and intimate with only 7 (but very important) guests enjoying the day.

The ceremony was possibly the smallest room I had to photograph a wedding at, however, this didn’t distract from what was a beautiful wedding ceremony conducted by the very warm & friendly officiants. The grounds of the registry office also provided an artificial bridge/water feature with lots of foliage to capture some nice shots of the couple and guests before heading off to the Cathedral for the main bridal photographs.

Coventry Cathedral is also known as The Church of St Michael and is part of the Church of England in Coventry, West Midlands.

The wedding of Nora & Leon was held at the intimate registry office just 10 mins walk from the Cathedral ruins; the ruins were the result of bombs dropped by the Luftwaffe air attacks during the Second World War.

Today the ruins and back streets at Coventry Cathedral provide a tourist attraction for the city and an amazing backdrop for the bridal portraits for Nora & Leon.

We took a trip around the cathedral walls and back streets before heading inside the ruins for more bridal photographs. The steps leading inside were wide and spectacular which allowed for some shots of Nora’s beautiful wedding dress from behind.

I really enjoyed photographing Nora & Leon as they were keen on being photographed and happy to try out a few ideas as we moved around the location.

I would like to wish Nora & Leon all the best and a lifetime of happy years together. X
